Give every project a home
Create one record for each distinct make, even when two projects use the same pattern. Name it clearly, add the pattern file, and note yarn, hook size, recipient, or deadline if those details affect the next session.
Keep a small amount of useful context
The most valuable fields are usually the current row or round, the next instruction, the yarn and hook, and a note about any adjustment you made. A long inventory is less helpful than a short checkpoint you will actually update.

Make the next session obvious
